President & Spiritual Advisor

The high honorific, spiritual and most gracious Sri Sri 1008 Swami Shri Govardhan Rangacharyaji Maharaj, current head of Shri Govardhan Peetha Virndavan serves as a President, spiritual guide and advisor for the Shri Thakur Rajgopal Ji Maharaj Virajman Mandir in Madanpur. In his role, Swamiji is consulted for his spiritual advice and moral guidance. This helps the managing trustee and the management committees in conducting worship services (pujas) and rituals. The temple's traditions and prescribed Vedic norms are upheld under his guidance. He is instrumental in all rites and rituals of temple and oversees temple all religious affairs.

Trust Board

Sri Thakur Rajgopalji Maharaj Virajman Temple is managed by a trust board comprising of group of individuals as trustee who have hereditary lineage and whose appointment and responsibilities are based on below specific personal qualities and legal eligibility criteria, as defined by the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 and state-level Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Acts. Trustees should be an Indian citizen and expected to be spiritually minded, service-oriented, and persons of impeccable character. Their primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing temple finances: Ensuring the smooth conduct of rituals, festivals, and daily operations. Possess a good working knowledge of the local traditions, culture, and heritage specific to that temple. Additionally, must have time, interest, and willingness to attend to the activities and administration of the temple.
  • Financial Contribution: Having contributed previously in cash or land for the construction, renovation, or development of the temple.
  • Maintenance: Must be capable of holding and administering property effectively and efficiently. Possess good character, conduct, and a respected standing within the local community where the temple is situated. Should be a socially inclined person with no criminal background and must not be involved in any activity that affects the interests of the temple, such as encroaching on temple lands.
  • Charity: Undertaking charitable and developmental activities for the local community.
