The word Madan primarily refers to Cupid /Kamadeva (the Hindu God of love and desire), and in relation with Lord Krishna, its significance lies in Krishna's ability to attracts or enchants even Cupid himself (God of attraction). Further the suffix "-pur" (पुर) in Indian place names, derived from Sanskrit signifies a "city," "town," or "fortress". It denotes a, historically fortified, settlement or kingdom, often established by rulers to represent their authority. Thus, the name Madanpur defines it as Kingdom established by Lord Krishna Himself with His immense power of attraction.

On the other hand, Rajgopal is a compound word derived from two Sanskrit words:

  • Raja (राज): Meaning "king," "ruler," or "lord".
  • Gopal (गोपाल): A common name for Krishna meaning "protector of cows" (Go meaning cow and Pala meaning protector).

Together, Rajgopal signifies divine royalty and guardianship, portraying Krishna as a sovereign ruler who remains intimately connected to his humble origins as a cowherd in Vraj.

As such Madanpur is the kingdom of Rajgopal Maharaj whose is the "Enchanter of Cupid" and the "Protector of the Cows," embodying a blend of supreme physical beauty and nurturing divinity.
