Do's and Don'ts

Guidelines for Visiting Pilgrims

Suggestions in the form of ‘Dos and Don’ts’ are displayed at temple in Madanpur and for the information of multitude of visiting pilgrims it is also listed at temple official website.

Do’s

Do’s at Shri Thakur Rajgopalji Maharaj Virajman Mandir are as follows:

  • Since at present there is no Guest Houses of Mandir as such on temple official website are mentioned some hotels which are in vicinity of Madanpur with whom the temple trust has already promise pacts where in you can book your accommodation well in advance especially on Utsava time.
  • Bathe and wear clean clothes before you enter the Jagmohan of Lord Shri Rajgopalji Maharaj Mandir.
  • Concentrate on Lord Shri Rajgopalji Maharaj inside the temple.
  • Observe absolute silence and chant “Jai Sriman Narayan”, inside the temple.
  • Respect ancient customs and practices while at Madanpur.
  • Respect and promote religious sentiments among co-pilgrims.
  • Deposit your offerings only in Danpatra (Hundi). For cash offering take the receipt for it or donate online on QR code mentioned by temple trust.
  • Wear a tilak on forehead in accordance with your religious affiliation.
  • Follow the procedures of the temple and wait for your turn for the darshan of the Lord.
  • Keep temple premises and other paths clean.
  • Approach police for any help and inform them about any suspicious characters.
  • Park vehicles only at the allotted parking slots.

Don’ts

Don’ts at Shri Thakur Rajgopalji Maharaj Virajman Mandir are as follows:

  • Don't Come to temple premises for any purpose other than worshipping the Lord.
  • Don’t Try to go beyond the fence of Garabhgarah. It is banned to enter inside the fence.
  • Don’t touch the feet of temple pujari. Touching of pujaris in any way is prohibited.
  • Don't Carry much jewellery and cash with you.
  • Don't Wear footwear in and around the premises of the temple.
  • Don't Approach touts for accommodation and darshan.
  • Don't Throw away the prasadam and teertham given to you at the temple. Eating prasad on Jagmohan or temple staircases are strictly prohibited.
  • Don't Eat non-vegetarian food, consume liquor or other intoxicants and smoke while in temple premises.
  • Don't Commit any act of violence or harshness in the temple premises.
  • Don't Rush in for darshan instead of waiting for your turn in the queue.
  • Don't Enter the temple; if according to custom or usage, you are prohibited to enter.
  • Don't Encourage beggars.
  • Don't Spit or be a nuisance inside the temple premises.
  • Don't Carry articles made up of leather on Jagmohan.
  • Do not throw waste anywhere other than the waste bins.
  • Don't Carry any type of weapons, sharp & cutting articles and ammunition on Jagmohan and in temple premises.
  • Don't enter in the temple Rasoi.
  • Ringing Temple ghanta by females are prohibited.
  • Strictly Pets are not allowed.
  • Do not entertain unauthorized vendors.
  • Do not urinate outside toilets and clear bowels outside latrines.
  • Do not make extra payment for any services.
  • Do not hesitate to approach temple trust for any help.
  • Do not scratch names or anything on walls of temple or on any other infrastructure in temple premises to leave it as your souvenir to the god, it is a superstitious belief.
